Outfit details: dress- American Apparel (customized by me), skirt- American Apparel, tights- Walmart, shoes- Urban Outfitters, sunglasses- Urban Outfitters, jacket- Urban Outfitters

The single most worn item in my wardrobe has to be this Urban Outfitters tan jacket. I've had it for more than three years and bought it on sale for $12, after coveting it for months! It has been to a lot of places with me and never disappoints.

That collar is pure genius! I love the outfit. I can't get over the collar!
That ruffle collar is amazing!! You did a great job with a wonderful idea! I love doing crafty projects while watching a movie - it's so relaxing and makes both the project and movie more enjoyable.
I love that you remix so many pieces and seeing you frequently don a piece in different ways has inspired me to also think of new ways to wear my old things. I know you've said that you never wear the same outfit twice and I'm trying to adhere to this concept as well!
Your DIY ruffle is adorable! Great color combo, too :)
good the dress you have customized.
The color mix is fine and love the nails color.
i love your diy!
i had a tan jacket once, but i donated it to goodwill under a "ahh i have too much stuffffff" anti consumer frenzy, lol. man i wish i could get it back.
wow you're just genius, we always knew but I really love the simple chic and DIY of this outfit. so colorful, like an overly fashionable harlequin!
Sweet ruffle! I love DIY projects :D
What a beautiful finished product! I love the ruffles and colors of this outfit. And I love the braided hair look! So cute.
thats a great diy ruffle!!
Most perfect DIY ever! I love the kind of "peasant" feel of the ruffle with the braid. Plus the color combination is amazing. You're so creative.
I LOVE the ruffles!
The tan jacket looks awesome. It's always nice to find a jacket on sale that you can love for years and years.

awesome job on the collar! i love the color combinations you put together -- you take mixing and matching to new levels. and your tattoos are absolutely adorable... reminds me that i need to work on my next tattoo!
I love the result of your DIY project! Very cute!
That ruffle trim is so beautiful, I love how the colours echo the rest of your outfit. And oooh your tattoos are so lovely, good thing you get to show them off more during summer! Ahhh and I shall never tire of Spartacus. The DoP did such an amazing job, the settings are so wonderful.
Wow! That first outfit is just wonderful! :o)
You have talent :)
It's very pretty, and I love your tattoos.
12...TWELVE DOLLARS?! That's amazing!!! and I love the customization. Howd you do it?
oh my god.
the collar looks AMAZING! and the dress shows off your tattoos perfectly!
was the collar already ruffled, or did you put in some kind of elastic to make it that way?
WOW I LOVE IT! came out soo good!
I really like the trim, are you planning to put it on the back too? Also, how do you wear a bra with that dress?? I want one, but am not very enamoured with the idea of going braless in public!
You do not know how much this makes me want to go out and buy something mustard. Even though it looks disgusting on my skin...
That's such a good idea! And I love your tattoos.
Ah, I love the jacket showcase. Everything you've teamed it with is great but I particularly liked it with that green bag and the checked tights, when you're standing against the wall. That is such a great look.
your tattoos, your hair and the ruffled dress looks like the perfect mix.^^
Love the ruffle you added to your top! It's the topshop one from the goodie bag right? That's such a perfect use for it :)
You look adorable! Original American Apparel, that has to be a first! Trust you!
OK, enough with the exclamation marks.
But that gorgeous jacket - $12?! What a bargain! And I love your tattoo sooooooo much - I have always wanted some wings too....!!!!
Oh my God, I absolutely LOVE LOVE the dress! Looks amazing and the pictures are gorgeous as well!
Ooh! Spartacus! Love that movie, what a classic! Great DIY, you look gorgeous in it, and great UO motorcycle jacket too, love the 'wardrobe remix' ;)

that jacket is so amazing. I've been searching for one like that for months but to no avail... darn. And that diy is really cute
I love how you customized your dress!
That;s such a cool ruffle that you made! You should make a tutorial.
Impressive DIY! Came out great.
I've never been super creative, but this is a really nice way to jazz up an old top and get rid of another old one that's taking up space!
Seeing other bloggers with great DIY pieces has definitely inspired me.
i love your tattoos, so classy!
and cute outfit...no wonder that tan jacket gets a lot of wear, its awesome
I LOVE YOUR TATOOS!

i love DIYs. what you made is great, so cute!
You should ONLY wear that jacket. It's one of the 5 things you own that I wouldn't throw out given the chance. For $12, you should have bought 10, so you never run out.
you do the best DIYs :) i love your picturesssss!!
1. The DIY is great.
2. I recently got a tattoo on my back and cannot wait to wear scoop back shirts all summer.
3. I love finding that clutch item that you've been pining for at an unbelievable sale price. I feel that way about my Minnetonka loafers/moccasins from UO - scored them for $10 and I've been wearing them out ever since.
I love that dress combined with shoulder-blade tattoos. They're made for each other.
The collar looks beautiful too!

I LOVE that jacket! And what nail polish are you wearing? I like it too
you've given an american apparel outfit so much originality - no mean feat indeed :)
and great jacket, a nice departure from the usual black motorcycle jackets.
The ruffle and the colour of that dress look fantastic on you. Well done, doll!
So amazing! I love that ruffle collar! DIYs are so fun to do but I don't ever have the talent or the motivation to start one. I admire your creativity!! xxoxoxox

adorable!!! i wish i had some sewing skills...
i have a new sewing machine arriving tuesday and i can't wait to start sewing. this gives me ideas! i love that mustard color on you!
Oh, how amazing! Such an amazing DYI project!
Great work with the dress. *
One of the best DIY I've ever seen!!!!! Very beautiful!
@anonymous, I don't think I'm adding the ruffle to the back, it would probably be too much for me.
I generally wear a pretty bra and let it show, or a bandeau bra that doesn't give too much support but is easier to hide.
Wow! The ruffle trim is just too cute :-D Xxxc
GENIUS!!! Im literally doing this tonight...i luv me some ruffflesssss.
CC
the ruffle on that dress is so unbelievebly cool, I love the little graphic quality peeking through. And it's no wonder you wear that jacket so often, it's wondersous. That picture with the brick wall is my favorite, you look straight out of some english boarding school movie.

i LOVE that jacket!! i need to raid your closet! =) and th DIY came out AWESOME!! it looks cute on you!
xoxo
Those colors are so lovely on you! I love that ruffle-- very cute.
This is such a wonderful customisation! The print of your tee adds that touch of non-tactile texture to the ruffles. I am also in love with the way you did your hair <33
Good Job on the dress! I love urban sales... there the best and the deals are hard to come by!
Oh the ruffles and the plait, you look so amazing! and haha I remember that jacket from the begining!
Love the DIY ruffles! Will you be staying in PA for the summer? The rain definitely brought out all of your green. Here, too. I'm happy to be back online and to be seeing your awesome blog again :)
P.S. word verif. is maker. so great.
that dress looks adorable. good job!
i love the red against the mustard! and the ruffle is lovely, good idea!
x
nice DIY. i tried making ruffles like that one time to line the bottom of a skirt, but it was impossible. Either the folds kept slipping or the fabric got too thick to sew... so yes, amazing how even u got it.
love your customizing. love it all.
ohhh i love it!! quite clown like, like a circus girl, love the colour of the skirt too, lovely!
i love the high-waisted skirt/tights combo right now. :)
If you threw on some braces/suspenders, you would look so perfectly German countryside! You are the cutest thing. Great DIY. I want that skirt.
Very cute and so skillfully done! I was trying to find a DiY for ruffled shoes (if you see the pic on my blog, you'll see what I mean!) any tips :0)
Love your blog! Your photos are great and you have such style!!
that collar looks spectacular, definitely makes the whole outfit 27times cuter, great job! do it more often ;)
