"She had not expected anything like this. From that first moment, in a way she could never explain, the Meadows claimed her and made her their own. As far as she could see they stretched on either side, a great level sea of green, broken here and there by a solitary graceful elm. Was it the fields of sugar cane they brought to her mind, or the endless reach of the ocean to meet the sky? Or was it simply the sense of freedom and space and light that spoke to her of home?" --Elizabeth George Speare, The Witch of Blackbird Pond

Love the ASOS dress, and it looked like such great weather!! *jealous*!
And I was thinking of when the butterfly dress would make its first spring appearance! I so love seeing you wearing that dress. Great pairing with the Zara flats, so fairy-like.
Glad to see the weather over there is so great.
WOW! That butterfly ASOS dress is really beautiful. Oooooh, I want. *blush* :)
XoXo
These photos are really gorgeous! I love that very last one of you walking away. It's raining and grey in the UK...so these photos are so much more appealing to look at!
That ASOS dress is amazing!
Lovely! The butterfly dress with the ballerina shoes - too pretty! :)
The moods of these photos are so gorgeous! The first set, your hair and lips match the skirt so wonderfully, and the second is so breezy and springy!
Those last few pics make me think of Discovery Park in Seattle. Lovely dress & shoes.
Your butterfly dress is so lovely and I like the second set of photographs, that you are so away from the camera, reminded me of some safari editorials, good inspiration dear.
The last set of photos are my favorite. I wear glasses so that is the first thing I notice in an outfit, and yours are so cute!
the second set of photos are lovely, definitely make me yearn for summer.
the butterfly dress and the shoes are perfect
Really nice pics, love 'em all ! :D
you look so pretty! I love your glasses and the butterfly dress.
I adore those photos!
I love the first look, your make-up is perfect! (said by someone never wearing any, but take it as a compliment anyways :p) the butterfly dress is -still- one of my favorites of yours.
these photos with the butterfly dress look like they came straight out of an Anthro Catalog (in a really good way) they are gorgeous!

You look like a safari queen in the second set!
Your lipstick is quite striking, m'dear!
Much love.
you look so free.
That butterfly dress is gorgeous and I love the general feeling of all of these photos. Laying in an empty field sounds just wonderful.
wow these are stunning photos and I must got to F21 soon!
I'm sure it was unintentional, but I love how your skirt + lipstick matches.
The print of that ASOS dress is so lovely. The shape is lovely and hangs just right on you. Love the dancey dancey shoes, too! There are times where I will put up with shoes too small, too tight, or shoes that just take forever to get on just because it puts me in a certain mood. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one!
Also, it makes me happy to see you wear your glasses! Girls with glasses are so underrated. And I'm not just saying that because I wear glasses (well, maybe a little, haha).
I absolutely love those shoes and that dress, so wonderful! (the cream colour and the butterflies are great)!
you got that rod stewart song stuck in my head now! ;)
love love love that butterfly dress!
I really love that shot of those Zara shoes! I love the beautiful shots of you in the open field! Amazing! xxoxoxo
i love that second dress. it reminds me a little of technical biology illustrations. and such an interesting cut with that back. That field also looks glorius.

yes, those shoes are impossible to put on when you are rushing to leave. it's mayhem, they annoy everyone around me because they're so complicated... but they're beautiful, so it's ok!

Beautiful photos :)
Your ASOS dress is beautiful!
The butterfly dress is so pretty! Also I really like your glasses - are they new? Perhaps not - I'm just noticing glasses at the moment because I'm due to buy a new pair! ;)
You have such a talent for bringing simple, classic designs to life in a dreamy, magical way. These photos are beautiful, but then again they always are x
That skirt is beautiful, I love the shimmery colours :) And your butterfly dress is so pretty! I love The Witch of Blackbird Pond, but I always used to find it difficult reading through the part where they try to kill Hannah :(
These photos look like an editorial in Vogue magazine, just beautiful. https://www.fifiluxe.com/blog/

I hope this doesn't come off as peculiar, but I've been reading your blog for over a month without commenting. You seem to get a lot of attention and I was worried I wouldn't make enough of an impression to initiate a real friendship. Anna Liggett showed me your blog because she thought we had the same taste in.. life, I suppose. Whimsical, restless, wise, etc. The reason I'm commenting now is because The Witch of Blackbird Pond is one of my favorite books, and Madeleine L'Engle is one of my favorite authors. I was so floored when I read your quote from the latter! I didn't know anyone else remembered books like that. I still read and reread them :)
Warmly,
Danielle
Hi Danielle,
That's so sweet of Anna to pass my little blog along (I still don't really think of it like a "big" thing or anything...).
I am very devoted to L'Engle--I was also going through a L'Engle faze recently and re-read about six of her novels. Then I re-read 3 of Elizabeth George Speare's books--Witch of Blackbird Pond is still my favorite. I keep returning to these novels and authors and there's something of their "juvenile fiction" that is timeless and ageless.
Anyway, thank you for your comment. If you want to talk more you can e-mail me (thenewclotheshorse@yahoo.com).
The lipstick looks so good on you!
I like how humble you are when it comes to the success of your blog, it really is a BIG thing, everyone loves it! :)
