Of Fields And Females

Some of my favorite bloggers seem to appreciate wide open spaces and the innate beauty in a field.

So jealous of these bloggers (AND you cuz you always have gorgeous backdrops too) - that's the thing about living in the city, I have to trek to find the beauty (OK it's just a 15 minute drive to the mountains but still!) Least I have the beach a 2 min walk away. But damn, am I lazy.

PS Cherry Blossom Babe rocks my socks off - she always has the best backdrops, indoors and out. Oh to be in France!

It's like impossible to find these kinds of places in the city, you have to go far far away.
I became happy just looking at these photos..

Aw, field shots are so fun! I had one taken (in a dress from Effie, no less) when I visited my in-laws-to-be in Louisiana last summer. (http://fashionforwriters.com/2008/07/22/with-a-banjo-on-my-knee/)

I love the lush, lush grass in these photos. Spring, come fast!

I need some field shots...I must use google earth and find my nearest!

The Cherry Blossom girl rocks my world !!!

I agree with the first commentor, so jealous! Living in the city requires two trains and a bus to Prospect Park to find anything remotely resembling a field. I get over-excited at a little patch of grass, heh. At least we can live vicariously through these photos!

Makes me wonder if my decision to go to school in a big city was a good decision. Afterall, I've lived in big cities my entire life! But Cherry Blossom girl is pretty fantastic =)

Lovely! I wish there were more fields and open-spaces around me!

Isn't it just because a field is the only place they can be the centre of attention?

Joke..

i'm a terribly camera shy person and my apartment has horrible lighting so pictures i take end up looking rather disastrous.i absolutely love all these pictures, not only the other bloggers but yours too.
on another note i saw this dress at the california vintage select ebay store and this instantly reminded me of you and your love for brocade: http://cgi.ebay.com/Vtg-Gold-BROCADE-Design-60s-Mini-COCKTAIL-Dress-XS-S_W0QQitemZ150339785862QQihZ005QQcategoryZ48868QQcmdZViewItem

The Cherry Blossom girl's pictures are pure magic (especially from her last post 'Sakura'). These are all gorgeous, as your outdoor nature shots...may pluck up the courage to do the same, so I can share the beautiful landscape I sometimes find myself in ;)

Oh beautiful entry :) This is a good thing about living in a smaller college town... many open fields to lounge in and watch the sky.

Lovely photos, sweet girls! This kind of pictures make me want to move in the country side :). PS: I added your blog to my blog roll. I hope you don't mind.

Enclosed spaces can be so oppressivem, sterile and uninspiring. Although I'm definitely a city girl, I feel so inspired by these photos and the greenery. Great job!

All bloggers that I love!! Nice big fields are scarce in Silicon Valley...or maybe I need to look harder. The one that Sally Jane is in looks so perfectly green, wonderful, and comfortable!

They all have such gorgeous blogs!! I love the feeling of going to a field or a big park and just let loose. xxoxoxoxo

Liily said...

suburbia is so boring, compared to these lovely fields.

Manja said...

Fields are really nice :) As you might remember from the pictures of my German village...it basically only consists of fields, haha.

And yes: I totally forgot to add blogging to my hobby list. But that's just me, I always tend to forget the obvious.

The fields really emphasize the beauty of the clothes. I love how fields like these seem so accessible to them. I'm so jealous. :)

some of my favs! the pictures that these bloggers take are so beautiful!

All of these are incredibly beautiful!

That first shot is so unbelievably gorgeous!! I wish I had somewhere nicer to take my outfit photographs, my room doesn't even let me do full body shots, and the rest of the house doesn't really have the open space for it either.

muchlove said...

These are gorgeous, and makes me so jealous because I live in the middle of the city where almost any kind of outdoor shot is tricky because people are just everywhere!

LML said...

i have to say that fields are my favorite landscape, i daydream about frolicking in fields quite often actually...

Penelope said...

Really pretty pictures! Love Liebmarlene's best!:D

ZombieLace said...

Yep, you listed some of my favorite bloggers there.... the most beautiful clothes and settings! It's funny, I think we both posted prairie-appreciation posts on the same day!

What funny! Ten days ago, I wrote a post on the same subject! In fact, I also used one of your pictures:

http://larmadiodeldelitto.blogspot.com/2009/04/le-style-est-dans-le-pre-lo-stile-e-nel.html

I understand your readers appreciate the open spaces: it exhalts clothes.

Oooh, thanks for the shout-out! I like the commenter who said that bloggers pose in open fields so they can be the center of attention! Actually it's sort of the opposite, though . . . posing in fields is nice because usually no one will be around to a blogger taking photos of herself. That's why I did it, at least. :)
