Hands Off

I definitely go through phases...from obsessions with rings, to a passion for headgear, and flings with strange stockings. If there is one infatuation I am expressing this spring it is an admiration for bright nail polish. I seem to be repainting my nails every few days and can't decide what shade to keep them for longer than that. At the moment I am wearing a yellow polish from Sephora.

Outfit details: dress- ASOS, vest- gift, shoes- H&M, bag- Pull and Bear, necklace- charm from Chinatown

I think polish is such a fun and inexpensive way to try trends.

I love love that you are wearing yellow. Right now it's more acceptable, but when I wore it a couple years back, people thought it was the most hideous thing.

I am so inspired by that purple, I want my nails purple!

I absolutely love your stud ring.

Is the blue nail polish different on both pics or is the same just with different light?

I wear yellow nail polish too, it's very..sunny? lol
I recently got this green apple nail polish but I don't think it'll fit much with my skin tone, still,I'll try it :)

Those are all amazing nail polish colors! I hardly ever paint mine because I'm so *bad* at it (haha), but you're making me want to try again!

Nail polish!!! I bought lots of them lately, all funky colours. I have blue, purple, pink, yellow and oranges besides a bunch of browns, reds, nudes and all. I'm in love with nail polish too. And neutral colours!... Hmmm... I'm glad someone shares the love :D

Winnie said...

Yeah I've noticed your love of pretty shades of nail polishes in your photos. I love the yellow but I think that blue shade is awesome. Your outfit is so colourful and makes me smile!

I really love the color of your dress! I'm not really into nail polish though but yours look very pretty and fresh! Love the jumping pictures, they're my favorite! xxoxoxoxoxo

Aww, I love it when you wear this dress! The colors are so fantastic.

I haven't painted my nails in years and years and years and for some reason, I'm hesitant to pick up a bottle and try it again. Your polished nails are always so lovely, though!

A big yes to that nailpolish! I LOVE nailpolish (I have more than 30 different colors, I think *whoops*).
And that Asos dress - lovely!
I haven't painted my nails recently because I've been so busy, but I might paint them after my exam...yay :D

Lovely. I can't keep polish looking good for more than an hour, so I usually do toes only.

Your nails are so pretty, and I love that multicoloured dress on you!

Emz said...

Oh I have to switch up my nail polish too! But mostly because I can't stand it when it chips a little haha. But I love your dress and the nail colors!

Lilly said...

The yellow is so sunny and pretty. I'm normally only brave enough to put bright colours on my toes but yours look so great so i'll have to try them on my fingers too!

Styleseeking Zurich said...

I seem to have the same obsession these days! :) My favourite so far was a minty green colour I mixed, it's so perfect for spring, you should try that as well (if you haven't yet).

i love your blue nail colour so much i bought a similar? shade by essie :)

Annie said...

love your dress, and the blue background is so gorgeous!

i think that if i owned that dress, i would be tempted to paint each of my fingers a different bright color to go with it...

Brigadeiro said...

Ooh! Love all the colours, the first blue being my fave! :)

The horrendous state of my nails (nail-biter) and lack of nailpolishing skills means I stick to clear reddish pink (ie. natural)...I really must practice so I can 'grow up' and wear real colours...

i love the pattern of this dress and how u put it with the vest... and the way u describe the polish and things was brilliant lol

i love painting my nails too! although i'm so bad at it (my hands are just not steady enough) that i tend to avoid it when i need to be anywhere bright enough for people to notice!

you are so impossibly darling.

nail polish is so fun & easy to experiment. have you heard of the whole 'minx' nail trend? they look like silver and gold foil - - - total insanity and i want it so bad.

here's a photo: http://www.toughasnails.co.uk/images/Minx_Nails.jpg

Spring is such a great time for donning colors. I love the nail-polish. Of course, Mumbai weather bypasses spring and hurls us stright into a scorching summer.

I can't figure out which colour to wear on my nails this spring. Autumn was all about the black nails, but it seems too gloomy now. I should shop for one soon!
Maybe I'll go back to rainbow coloured nails!

That striped dress is soo pretty! I'm loving the different coloured nails, the yellow looks fabulous. Oh and I love the spike ring :)

And with regards to the notebook project, I'm thinking that each person will have to incorporate the postal marks/stamps that they received it in. If it goes all over the world, the notebook should look pretty cool by the end! I'm wondering whether I could actually do it this summer, even if people go on holiday, adding something they find there might be quite a nice touch, like a hotel napkin or what not. Oh, and then offering it as a giveaway right at the end might be nice too :)

Brittany Noel said...

I haven't worn nail polish in years (nasty horrible chemicals and such) but your shades tempt me to wear it again! I still love the blue nails with those awesome yellow gloves. And still want the gloves.
