My latest discovery: the most amazing use of swarovski crystals ever, this horse-shaped curtain created by talented designer Stella McCartney.

Apparently this sculpture titled "Lucky Spot" was created by the designer in 2004 as a temporary exhibit and now is being brought back through popular demand.
SourceIf there is one wholly impractical and yet wonderful item I would like in my future home it would be a vintage carousel horse. I've actually stumble across a couple in antique shops and have yet to convince someone to buy one for me.

That said, how great would it be to work in an office that is Carnival inspired and filled with the likes of carousel horses? Well, those who work in the offices of Ogilvy & Mather's know what it's like. The creative space was designed by M. Moser Associates.

Those curtains are amazing, just a little.. unusable? They'd break the second you'd want to see the sun from your window ;)
I can think of nothing better than to be sat on a carousel horse while doing work! Other than just being sat on one without the work...xxx

Horses are sort of magical!! I also think it would be great to own an old carousel horse, but it might scare me in the dark.. hahah!
How lovely! I adore them.

Speaking of Stella McCartney, didn't she design a collection for Chloe featuring a horse motif? I can't remember which season.

The essential joy of being with horses is that it brings us in contact with the rare elements of grace, beauty, spirit, and fire. ~Sharon Ralls Lemon
Those carousel horses always remind me of the scene in Mary Poppins where they dislodge from the carousel and get into a horse race.
That curtain is one of the more inspired things I've seen lately! Beautiful.

Thanks a lot for the explanation! I didn’t know the name, but I actually have at my ap. a “Clothes Horse” to dry my own clothes! I didn’t know the name of that thing until now. But my clothes horse is made of steel and plastic.
(Only now, I saw the explanation on the top of the blog. Thanks anyway for your patiente and care. You re such a sweet girl. What is your name? I think I don’t know, if you don’t to tell, I would love to know J)
Thanks one more time,
Kisses and hugs,
From the friend,

I want a carousel in my future house too...!!! anything childish makes me snap!!! The curtain is inventive, yet I dont like it for some reason!!! & because u mentioned it... what inspired you to name your blog partly after this beautiful creature???
So lovely! My heart does a flip whenever I see ANYTHING elephant related. It's a sick obsession.
Ooooh....those are some cool things. I am not a huge horse person but I would love to own one of those carousels.

Wow I had no idea about this! It's quite stunning. Did you ever see my post about Daikanyama? Did you ever get a chance to visit it when you were in Japan? There is a store called Hanjiro that has a carousal horse elevated about a bathtub of water with fish in it!
I think an old merry-go-round horse would make an awesome garden piece! You could have tea parties out with all your crazy carnival classy yard art and people can even sit on them in their English tea party dresses and big brimmed hats! Please invite me.
oh my gosh. that diamond horse is blowing my mind. absolutley amazing piece or work!!!!
these would look so striking in a home, although not mine ;)
