The personal moon project is making fairy tales come true for romantics everywhere... Remember the fairy tale about the girl who wanted to wear the moon around her neck as a necklace? Well, Peter Pilotto did capture the majesty of the night sky for all dreamers (with big wallets) to wear on their back. Pic via Cobrasnake
I have those moon pictures as my desktop background - just the other day my friend asked about them and their awesomeness. I especially love the one on the boat (there is another one in snow, not pictured, that is lovely).
What's even more awesome is that sweet sweet bluey/greeney star top/dress/tunic thing. Anything Celestial really brings out the romantic in me :)
what a wonderful project, I love the stars. i wish i could identify more constellations besides the big dipper, the stories are so interesting. those clothes are gorgeous as well, last summer i was at this really remote beach and I could see the streak of the milky way and about a billion other stars. Thats what the dresses remind me of. -indigo
"How soon unaccountable I became tired, and sick, Till rising and gliding out I wander'd off by myself, In the mystical moist night-air, and from time to time, Look'd up in perfect silence at the stars."
Awww, all those moons on earth are so romantic. I like to think the people who have them are on their way to give the moon and stars to their beloveds :~)
I used to have a book when I was little, about a boy that I think made a giant moon to put in his room and light up :) It came with a little moon nightlight/lamp things :D I wish I had it still, or remembered the name of this, it reminds me of this.
That dress is amazing!!! I could never pull it off but it's pretty wonderful looking.
I sometimes worry about getting taken as a Lolita fashion follower as well so I try to be careful with it. It's hard to dress a certain way without being labeled! Most of the time, though, I just go with my gut feeling when putting together outfits.
Oh thanks so much for your Atlanta suggestion! I actually even got a response from a company that is located there (southeasttourism) but I totally forgot about it. I just wrote my application and sent it there =)
Reminds me a bit of Sailor Moon, and brings me back to Childhood. Also reminds me of the movie Stardust, though I can't say why. I have always loved stars and moons and I hope this becomes a book or something.

Reminds me of "the mighty boosh", where they created a moon by lubricating a man with shaving foam.
