Thaw This Frozen Land

I yearn for brightness and laughter and spring. I crave a warm breeze on a hot day and soft grass beneath my bare feet. I long for endless mild nights spent staring at the stars and trading stories. I pine for seasons past and blooms faded and friendships drifting away. When will the spring come and thaw this frozen land?

Not too sound cheesy, but that is one of the most beautiful descriptions I have heard of Spring yet!

I can't get enough of that green coat. I saw one at Target and thought of you haha

Nice poetic sentiments, it has an air of loneliness. What are you leaning towards for the spring fashion?

I know how you feel. I was so over joyed that I didn't really need my cardigan this morning. I think it's finally starting to be spring here.

My patience is starting to wear thin. I want warmth now. I love how your words produce such clear and vivid images. I also love your UO cardigan. It looks supremely cozy for these still cold Spring days.

Wow, I love the bright sunshine in these photos. Loving the green and red, they stand out so much against the backdrop of trees!

Amazing photos and outfit!

OH! I adore your scarf and the red jumper. Yum. And those leaves do look rather pleasantly crunchy. However, I too yearn for balmy evenings. Sigh.

Love that cardigan - reminds me of my family *they're Norwegain* and having those sweaters all over the place. They were WAY too itchy though for me but I'm guessing yours is pretty soft and sweet :)

i long for the same things, and ask my self same questions. photos are great... i dont even need to say it, you know it girl! you look great every time i come! as for, graduation and job, well we are all in the same crap, more or less. only difference is, what is our profession, because in some there is some teeny tiny opportunity as in some others.. well... crap again! i belong to the other group. total fuckup!but... there is always hope! think pink beautiful :)

Love the spot where you took your pictures. And the nail polish looks great!

Everybody's impatiently waiting for Spring to come, including me. It seems as if we've been waiting a very long time!

I adore that red cardigan in your first outfit. And I love that last picture in the first set - it looks like you're pushing those two trees apart!

And in response to your comment, I'm not sure where I'll wear my tiger hat! I think it's a good hat for birthday parties but my friends are the types who would be embarrassed to invite someone who will come in a tiger hat. So it might just have to wait until my own birthday party, haha.

A very eloquent description and I know exactly how you feel. I thought spring had come, until it blizzarded again the other day. Another dusting of snow last night. I guess that's what I get for living in an area renown for its unpredicible weather.

Your text and images fit perfectly together. I agree, Spring cannot come soon enough. It feels like winter has been 17 months long.

Your writing is so beautiful :) I love your red cardigan and that scarf, and your dress in the second outfit is wonderful.

Oh and I was silently hoping someone would reply to my post and say what you did lol. I am always in awe of the settings for your photographs! Terraced Edwardian housing in London have gardens, but literally a small box of one, so the trees and leaves and open spaces are so stunning.

I agree, I'm still feeling the chill here and which so much to go bare legged and armed. I usually love layers, but I must admit to growing weary of them.
