A Single Footstep

"A single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kinds of thoughts we wish to dominate." Henry David Thoreau

I'm rather eternally grateful to J. Yo of Color me Fash (who is very stylish) who scanned a page from Girlfriend an Indonesian magazine that featured me. She even provided this translation of the text. Thanks J. Yo!
This business management fashion addict is really glad to be able to become a blogger. Her quirky style reflects her very artistic self.
GF: please tell us why you made a fashion blog?
RS:I'm interested in making a blog because i was inspired by other stylish bloggers and wanted to join the community.
GF: Who's the one designer you want to meet the most?
RS: i want to meet Christian Lacroix!
GF: What trend would you like to create in the future?
RS: I'll make hats to be in trend again. if you see vintage photos, everyone wears it all the time.
GF: if tomorrow is your last day in the world, what would you wear?
RS: i would wear my 50's vintage dresses. However, in my last day, I'd wear anything that will make me feel pretty.
GF: Who's your all-time fashion icon?
RS: Audrey Hepburn, the greatest fashion icon. It must be because of her famous and memorable movies.
GF: is there any difficulties in writing a blog? can you please share some advice for GF (girlfriend) readers?
RS: the hardest difficulties is actually keeping it going. advice is, blog about what you love! That is if you want your blog to be successful and long-lasting.

I absolutely adore that fascinator on you! You pull it off really well. I always feel awkward whenever I try on fascinators in my hair so I admire the people who can pull it off!

Congrats on the international magazine appearance and that ring of yours is FANTASTIC!

The pattern mixing in the first set is so great. & I just love the way the colours (and/or shades) pop against the brick wall.

Love the checks against the stripes! It looks gorgeous all in monochrome.

I love your plaid shirt with the stripes! The quote is fantastic... Kind of resonates right now being in college and having to decide what we're going to do with life.

Very cool! I agree with that hat making trend- I love looking at old pictures of a crowd and seeing nothing but the tops of hats. Especially on the men- is there nothing sexier than a fedora? Or a fedora on Don Draper? Heh heh hehhhh.

And oh, that blue nail polish- may I ask where it is from?

i am in love with your purple ring! the way you pair off the mix of patterns in the first outfit is also cool and super chic.

As always, your photos are so perfectly simple and chic.
And I still love that nailpolish. And fascinator.

Thx for answering the 'tags', loved reading your answer, and following your advice, I had a nap on Thursday night! Felt good but I couldn't fall asleep at the 'normal' time after that, haha. And yes, LOVE The King & I, especially Yul Brenner (he was amazing I think, as was, of course, Deborah Kerr...I'm a huge old movies/musicals fan :)

I am in love with your fascinator and totally agree that hats should be used more in fashion. I am always desperate to go to the grand national or any other sort of horse races so I can wear a big hat but no one will come with me. Perhaps I'll be able to persuade them this year! :) x

I was pretty thrilled that I was able to find pink bedding, a pink igloo and a pink cage for Mimi. I'm not even that into pink, but it just seemed like the right color for her.
Almost forgot to say that I really like the buffalo check and stripes together.
