Went on a "field trip" to Washington, D.C. yesterday, making me feel twelve rather than twenty-two...except of course our buses dropped us at the curb and left us to our own devices. It was a cold and blustery day.

I do enjoy a good art museum with exhibits in photography and Dutch painters.

We also made a visit to the Natural History Museum--I would like to move into the orchid room they have there. I think a greenhouse would make a perfect home...

Outfit details: coat- H&M, hat- my father's old, dress- ASOS,boots- some shop in Athens Greece, cardigan- H&M

i love that your outfit is so colorful and vivid on such a cold day. i would have gone with a boring black coat and beanie.
you look adorable, and i love the picture of your feet with the fish! :]
You look so cute with that hat.
I love museums, it looks like you had fun! Minus the weather, of course.
Dutch masters never go out of style. And how cute is that little mouse? I've never been to any natural history museum, and I'd like to correct that soon...
Looks like fun! What's with that little mouse guy hanging out on those wheat stalks? I like him.
awesome photos. especially the first one!
Great photos! That ASOS dress is really fun and it looks like you had a good trip!
You are so cute! I used to live near D.C :o)
D.C. is always a great place to visit. I spent 3 full days exploring the museums there a few years ago - the Natural History Museum and the National Gallery of Art being some of my favorites too :)
Oh this makes me want to tip toe around art museums - I've been far too busy with uni work to go to any and I miss them. Also reminds me I need to wear hats more! Hehe
nice nice :)
thanks for stopping by..
i love that first picture of you. AND your photographs of the museum are gorgeous.
Wow what an amazing field trip!
Ah, the dress is ASOS, you know I think I contemplated buying it once but it looks so much better on you than it would on me :)
I love the photos! Especially the first one:))
Greenhouses are some of the best places on earth.
It looks like such a good day-once you were inside! Really cool pics, and I love your dress too!
The flower photos are absolutely stunning. Wow. And the hamster...
You know, the quality of the purple plants against the snow is so wonderful that I thought it was a photo at the exhibit you saw. <3
that seems like a lovely day! i love going around in museeums.. i hope i will do that a lot while being in Paris... the art makes me calm and relaxed. i feel so good while watching wonderful pieces of art!
xx
Your trip looks like so much fun! I think it is totally worth the cold and blustery weather. Museum visits are perfect for cold weather, too.
I love your boots with that outfit!
sounds like a great trip! definitely better to stay inside museums on a cold day!
I love the museums in DC! There's a wholeee road of them =) I've never been to the Natural History Museum though I don't think.
what great pictures!
That dress is so colorful and amazing! Haha, so funny...I was just asking a friend of mine what Washington was like (I applied for an internship there...I doubt I will be chosen though....well who knows ;) )...and now you are doing a post on it :D I like Dutch painters...especially the paintings by all the Brueghels! I saw some of their originals in the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Brussels last fall...
I love that dress, it's so colorful!
I love the pattern of your dress. Such vibrant colours!
The field trip looks like a lot of fun! Makes me want to visit our city's art museum.

I've been to the museum with all the paintings! It's so gorgeous, I took loads of pictures. I love it in DC.
Aww, I'm so jealous. I've never been to Washington DC. Husband and I have a plan to (one of these days) take a few weeks and travel up and down the east coast, checking out all the history and museums. :D
you look really pretty in the first photo :)

That beret is a great color for you.
Lovely photos, especially the flower photos. I have thing for flower photos. And I love your necklace.
Field Trips to D.C. are alwayss great, though it does look frigid out. I love your outfit, as always!

Flowers! I haven't seen flowers since September. Except in a vase, of course.
Those fish are cute. I love little details like that.
I like the print on your dress. Very cute.
I haven't been to D.C. yet. It's on the list, along with um... the whole rest of the world.

Wow seems like a great day! I absolutely love your dress. pretty :)
Aw, DC. I always am horrified of the Natural History Museum. I wonder what the term is for taxidermy phobia.
Even that little hamster is just...horrifying.
I'm weird.
And I love the beret. It seems so appropriate for an educational trip.
Hey! Thanks answering my Q's & the one on 'Greed' ;)
I actually loved DC (hadn't expected much of it), especially the train station (I took SO many photos of the amazing ceilings) and the free museums. Did you get to the Modern Asian Art? That was one of my faves!
Gorgeous photos! Especially the 2nd one = LOVE!

That sounds kind of random and fun. I love the picture with the fish on the floor. I wish DC was close enough to here for a day trip.

Love the necklace and that beret is wonderful :) Ooh the Natural History Museum looks fabulous and I am in love with those oil paintings (I'm guessing 16th Century?).
I love the picture of the fish on the floor. And a greenhouse would be a lovely place to live. i personally would live in the butterfly/vegetation exhibit at my local zoo.

but anyway, ty for my comment-i cant wait for the top to arrive at my door :)

*bisous*
I love your beret and green coat combo, and Washington looks amazing!
Are those crocuses blooming already?? Wow! We just had an ice storm, so the prettiest things around here are trees and shrubs coated with sparkling ice - which I suppose is nice, but spring flowers it is not.
I love the little beret as well - classic.
There are blooming hyacinths in DC?? I'm so jealous! I would love to go the natural history museum there, one of my dreams. I didn't realized they had a whole orchid room. That must've been amazing!
Great photos. It looks really lovely there. Field trips means good times!
