Thwarted By A Malign Star
My favorite photo spreads in Teen Vogue always are the "couple" shoots. I hardly know why, since I have never been in love, so I certainly can't relate to the sweet innocence of young love they capture in idyllic locations. Yet, I like to invent stories about them being star-crossed lovers running away to the ends of the earth...

oo i remember the second from the top one from a magazine long long time ago but yea i love their shoots. I actually love most of teen vogues shoots they're all very artistic

adorable pictures! i agree - teen vogue does a great job of couple shots. i love teen vogues ability to create teen appropriate fashion without talking down to teens like other magazines do

I completly agree with you, the couple shots are always so amazing!
You may not be able able to relate to the couples in the pics, but the clothes and photography are wonderful, so who cares?

I love couple shots too, and I love duets...it must be the interaction that a couple brings to a photo or song, that you simply cannot get with just one or two girls that I love...

gotta agree, and u know wot!? i am an AVID teenvogue reader thou it costs $8 per copy here (about USD$5)... i'm just gonna get a subscription for US$20. totally worth it, methinks.
and the 3rd picture.. i remember that particular denim-layering editorial. the BEST picture was the one of the girl mid-stride in the park with those dipdyed custom skinnies...brown/purple and grey...

These are great. I admit to having a subscription to Teen Vogue and I am 27 but I feel it says a lot about pop culture and the photographers - Raymond Myer, Nick Haymes, etc. are amazing.
I love these shoots too... though maybe because I'm a self-confessed perv and love to dream that one day that pretty boy could be mine. (No chance but oh well)

I've always liked these spreads too. Two people just makes a photo so much more dynamic. Especially a couple I think, which really forces you to create a story.
