My Glamorous Life

I formally welcome you to my glamorous life as a convenience store cashier. Since freshman year I have worked at this (coveted) position on my college campus. The store is located in the basement of one of the dormitories, which leads to all sorts of interesting characters visiting at all hours of the night. People often stumble through in a dazed hunt for caffeine while dressed in pajamas, though sometimes they come in on scooters, or even rolling chairs...
Outfit details: coat- gift (Anthropologie), turtleneck- H&M, dress- H&M, socks- gift, shoes- H&M, bag- Pull and Bear
One of my sisters sent me along a lovely surprise for my birthday. I haven't worn or photographed it yet, but the piece came with a clear lucite ring in the shape of an elephant which I have been wearing. The bold, modern feel of the ring fit well with the graphic black, white and green outfit I wore the other day. There must be nothing more difficult to photograph than a clear lucite elephant...
Outfit details: coat- H&M, dress- H&M, sweater- H&M, tights- gift, bag- Pull and Bear, necklace- gift, shoes- H&M
P.S. I would like to thank everyone who sent me birthday wishes. It was simple, good day and several phone calls from family members made it better.

a convenience store! what a beautiful setting to be taking pictures, especially while dressed in black+white.

i think your job is great. ever since I watched the movie GO (ages ago), I have been dreaming of working at a till, where products just parade in front of you and you simply need to scan them;)

I hope life being 22 turns out to be seriously exciting, to contrast the job u find boring.

I love that you can take photos there. Perfect place for an interesting photoshoot! I really like that the ring is clear, so unusual! What an adorable present.

we have a place like that on campus, but it's not open all night! it's known formally as "the outpost," but everyone on campus calls it the c-store lol.

that ring is a very unique, versatile piece.

It's so cool to have a convenience store all to yourself so you can take all these fabulous photos. I'm assuming these were taken before you opened the store? ;)

Today (no joke) looking at magazines, cant quite remember if it's the UK Vogue, or Elle did an editorial at a supermarket! I loved the idea... and now I see you HERE you at the store!!! How cool is that?
Great place for pics as it looks so cute and tidy.

Gosh, I'm having flashbacks of college when I used to work at our campus Jamba Juice! Even though the setting is nothing like a campus convenience store.

I get what you mean! I work at the burger place located inside the university pub. It gets interesting. Some days there are shows, and one night that I was working, a guy from the band needed some paper and a pen to write down a set list. The best I could give him was paper towels and a bright red sharpie. He was way cool about it.

Convenience store eh? sounds fun. My school wasn't cool enough to have a convenience store...
I probably spent less money though.

as a Pennsylvanian i often wonder where you go to college... i also wonder how you continue to wear skirts when it is so freaking cold out, but i guess i do the same thing...i only own one pair of school approved pants...

lovely pictures though, they tell a real story. i'm still working on settings for my pics... and yours are always so good and teh camera (i'm assuming on self timer like mine) is always on a good level. i really enjoy teh flirty skirt on the second outfit.

ahh Anthropologie. I love that place. We don't have one around here, but when I went to NYC we went there. I almost bought a [beautiful] coat, but it was a size too small =[ Yours is gorgeous though, along with your whole outfit ;]

Without sounding absoltely creepy, I want to stalk you and your wardrobe. It's amazing how you manage to re-create and "remix" all your clothes, without anyone, or at least me personally, being able to see similarity from one outfit to the next. I have a wardrobe full of clothes and I manage to get tired of it so easily. I don't think I have to tell you this, but you are fabulous. Much love :)

love the pictures inside your store- you have such an amazing eye for framing.

ZOMG I forget to check my favorite fashion blog for a few days, and I come back to discover that you have the EXACT same job as me. Oh, college residence convenience stores -- possibly the least convenient place on earth, but it's close to where I live, and the randoms wandering in at 3 AM on a Wednesday (can you cay "got the munchies?") make it all worthwile...

Wait, that's a lie, it's the thankless minimum wage that makes it worthwile.
