Playing Around

I've been playing around a bit lately. Experimenting with cloning on my pictures is a new hobby to keep me occupied.
Outfit details: coat- H&M, dress- H&M, gloves- gift, tights- gift, shoes- vintage, feathers- Etsy
My parents just got themselves a new puppy. He was born on 08/08/08 so they've named him Augustus, though we'll be calling him "Gus." His fur is like velvet.

Those cloned photos are so cool, do you do that on a special program, or is it a camera setting?

Your puppy looks just like Lady from Disney's "Lady and the Tramp". I must have seen that movie about 20 times when I was a kid, I knew all the dialogues by heart.
I love the cloning, it's so surreal! You must have a really steady tripod, right?

Shay said...

Hehe you're like a less creepy, much more fashionable version of the red-haired twins in The Shining. Seriously, though, the pics are fantastic. :-)

P.S. Gus is too cute!

Aw, Gus is too cute! My little cousin got a puppy for Christmas and we had tons of fun playing with her that weekend :)

Thank you for your kind words regarding my latest post. I am determined :)

I tried on the same dress and H&M recently, but didn't purchase it. I wish I had though!

Fun pictures. I've experimented with cloning and meshing pictures before too.

And a random last note, I like the rabbit bookend on your bookshelf!

Love your photo experimentation, super cute and gorgeous results! And omg awwwwww cute puppy! I especially love the first one! So clever! :D

And thanks for your comment, about "passionately" and thoughtfully being an "oxymoron"... you really made me think, I'm not sure, I maybe life is kind of oxymoron as it's hard to live in one extreme or another, but I guess I meant that I want to live my life with thought and not just let waste away, as I mindlessly go through the motions, but to always put in passion to what I do to, to live to fufillment... something like that anyway! :D

Ugh, I wish my photography class was traditional. My school doesn't have enough money to let non-photo majors into the darkroom. Learning about digital photography is good, though.

Oh, look at you. What a neat idea! I love the twin/cloning thing, and you pulled it off flawlessly.

I want to take that puppy and mash it against my face. Don't ask why. I just want to mash all soft, smooshy, and super adorable things against my face- puppies, babies, purses...

You did the cloning so well! I love photos like that :)
Also, I love cavaliers! They are some of the only small dogs I like, mainly because they are such sweet beings. My ex-boyfriend's grandmother bred them and always had around 10 of them. I loved visiting her! I would sit with several of them in my lap and next to me in the sofa and just hang out. Ahh, they are so soft! I miss them.

Misha said...

Oh yes! I love the cloning effect! It's awesome and a great way to show an outfit from various angles. Oh and cute doggy!

The first half of your post sort of scared me! But oh my, oh my, god that puppy is simply ADORABLE! Look at those puppy eyes! And his beautiful reddish patches, stunning colour (I'm not biased....) and it actually matches your hair tone, which is very sweet.

Shall I stop gushing now??

I had to do a double take because I thought you had a secret identical twin hidden away somewhere who you magically produced for these photos.
The puppy is too sweet, my mother really wants a dog but she has trouble committing to what she'll make for dinner so I don't think it'll be happening, what kind of dog is that? He looks like a spaniel?

Wow, I love how cloning yourself makes you seem even lonelier. At first, I was like, "Aww, she has a friend!" But then I was like, "Oh, crap, she's so alone she had to make a new her just to have someone to be with." AWESOME.
