Age of Innocence

In about a week I will be packing my bags once again and heading back to school. I'll leave behind mossy greens, home cooked meals, a smelly pup, and free days full of blissful nothingness. It's been a long break, but a good one. Now I only have one week left to squeeze a last bit of joy from Washington State...what shall I do?
Outfit details: dress- Ivy Blue, vest- gift, tights- Target, shoes- H&M, coat- Anthropologie
Outfit details: jacket- Urban Outfitters, dress- Urban Outfitters, tights- gift, shoes- H&M, beret- my father's old, gloves- Revolve Clothing
The lovely people at Weardrobe sent me a circle scarf to style. The complete article is here, but here are a couple looks you haven't seen before. It is a really versatile scarf and I was sad to see it go.

The last picture is sooo lovely! Love the Alice in Wonderland esque blue dress with the circle scarf ;)

Your dad has excellent taste in gloves! I really want a pair of pink Louis Vuitton or black Zara fingerless gloves, I've also got my eye on that American Apparel circle scarf, only in white - it's looks so cozy worn as a snood.

I've been meaning to check out that scarf but I'm allergic to AA. Still, it looks lovely on you.

Not sure what to do with your last days? Come up to Vancouver...we do have some good shopping here (at least, different). And do it soon...I hear it's supposed to snow around here soon :(

Your hair looks redder. Did you dye it?! Or is that just my computer monitor being goofy?

You look great as always, my dear. :)

that last dress is adorable!

That's a loong break! I started school like three weeks ago. I would go to Seattle, just because I loved that city so much when I visited. I would go more often, since I live like 3 hours away, but school gets in the way.
And thanks to your advice, I think I will try more muted nail polish tones when I get the chance.

those yellow gloves are perfection. especially with that outfit.

Love your photos. For your last week...please take some more lovely photos (and perhaps another every hour post?)...I really enjoy those.

I adore the colour of the gloves with the colour of the beret and tights! In the second outfit. Enjoy your break!

I love all of them. All the details are really amazing. It seems so funny to hear about people just starting school while I'm in week four lol

I love the sleeves on the first dress! Very pretty. I want an American Apparel circle scarf. I wonder how hard it would be to make one... I have no sewing skills to speak of.

AsianCajuns said...

I love how you pushed up your sleeves of the dress in the first few pics - they look almost Edwardian!

PS: Stop by our blog to see your award :)!

love your red beret, as i love all berets

Tahda said...

amazing outfits! You better enjoy that last week of freedom! do whatever you please!

Dooder City said...

Love the outfit. My favorite is your red beret! As for a leather jacket, I am NEVER going to find a reasonably priced one (under 350) in the city. I think I will find one in some back woods town out west at a second hand store.

Such a shame AA didn't let you keep the scarf! Love the way you styled it! Love all your pics! Hope you enjoy your last week at 'home' :)

If you have yet to go, I would suggest going to the Seattle goodwill. It's of one the biggest in the nation, if not the biggest. It has a huge selection. If you are feeling a bit more adventurous there is also the "clothing by the pound" goodwill in Seattle too. It's more work but sometimes really worth it, great for DIY fabrics and project pieces as well. Enjoy the beauty while you can!

your style is so stunning..love the simple but nice!

I'm sad to see that the circle scarf was just on loan. It looked wonderful. Enjoy your last days of freedom!

You had to give back the circle scarf? Oh, no! That's cruel!
But, I imagine that going away to college without Gus will be more nerve-cracking...
Well, I believe you are a person who really knows how to adjust in yet another change.

Parapluie said...

I love all your outfits, especially the first one! The circle scarf looked great on you!

Susanna-Cole said...

Oh gorgeous outfits and pictures, dear! And oh I think I'm behind... are you not in Athens anymore? I suppose not... Will you be going back, or are you off to school elsewhere? :)

Thanks for your sweet comment! <3

I don't know what you'll do with your last week of breaktime, but I know it'll be fun and inventive, and I'll be back to see what outfits you concoct during that time.

Have fun!

I LOVE the Anthropologie coat! And your first picture in the Circle Scarf is too awesome.

cleo said...

You are gorgeous, the outfits your put together are stunning, and your photographs are just terrific. You are definitely my fashion inspiration.

One question: how do you take the pictures of yourself? Self-timer, probably, but they look so professional! Every time I use self-timer, it just looks awkward.

The Clothes Horse said...

@cleo, Thank you for your compliments! I do use a self-timer. I was awkward at first, but now I've been doing it for awhile and I feel more comfortable with a tripod than a person taking my photos.
