Only A Few Hints

"Only a few hints--a few, diffused, faint clues and indirections..." --Walt Whitman
It's funny how much we can talk, type, communicate and how little we actually say. I can show you a portrait of my days and attempt to describe a piece of them, but it is a twig attempting to represent a forest. There's always so much more...

Ohhh I love that second outfit soooo much.
I always ponder that as I write my blog. How much is boring? Is too little not enough?
Flying Saucer writes soooo much and yet I soak up every word. But others write very little and their photos do all the talking. I guess you choose yourself and that becomes your way of conversing.

I hate Walt Whitman though haha. Song of Myself is such a giant ramble!

Your photos! Are just stunning! A picture is worth a thousand words...but in your case, so much more! Still, a twig in the forest, so I can only imagine what the 'forest' would be...

.. but sometimes the smallest twig can be the most fascinating thing :)

I love your photos. Do you use a self-timer?

Oh, I missed your blog! I love your steady move to darker colors and warmer, layered fabrics as the weather gets cooler here in Greece. I didn't have so much time to make the tranxition myself, during my trip to Italy I had to remember how to dress really warm, really fast.
I love your socks with the ethnic dress and those graphic tights!

Right though. What I see here in your space is only just a tiny part of your complex life. Well said.

It's a techno world. I think many of us feel compelled to chatter, and maybe we don't think about whether or not we're "saying" anything. Sometimes, it's nice to keep quiet.

I love the photo of you sitting down, where you're wearing the mustard tights. The perspective is really great, and your legs look like beautiful, smooth sculptures.

How much longer in Greece?

I love the mix of prints in the second outfit. And that picture with you sitting with your legs folded and drinking tea is simply kawaii.

Great Zara dress - is that a sweater dress? It's lovely.

You said from Japan? Have you been? I am leaving in two weeks to spend a year there!

I love having items that are from "some shop in Japan" or "store in Helsinki" etc. I'm inspired to blog about my best clothing "souvenirs" next week!

I also wanted to say that I love your beigey tights in teh first photos. I've contemplated them and after seeing yours, I think they can be a great look and not look drab or pasty at all (which is what I was fearing). Hmmmm.

It not be all encompassing but we do love what you can communicate!

Plus that Zara dress! Love love love! Love.

Where is the Thank You Mart you go to? There's one in LA here that I love and I already found it an unusual name to have as a thrift store...

We used to discuss things like this all the time in college. My BA is in English and I've been involved in many a discussion of how writers manipulate "reality" and how we aren't really able to completely describe an experience through writing. Ugh, I could just go on.

Oh my gosh your style is so fierce. I am in love with the Zara dress!

I totally need to get the Zara dress and wear it with my new gorgeous diamond necklace my fiance bought me from www.idonowidont.com and wear the whole outfit downtown with my girlfriends.

Your photos look like they are in a magazine, love that H&M cardigan too!

great shot thru that circle gate thing :)

You're right. I feel so connected to a community of people through blogs and flickr and etsy, but I don't even know what half of my "friends" look like. I think you can share enough on a blog so that people really do get to know you. It's like you're pen pals or phone buddies. It's an odd relationship, but one I'm thankful for.

that circle window reminds me of feist open season album cover. great photos.
