While I was there I was sitting on the steps, absorbing the sights and waiting for my group, when another group of tourists walked by... They kept looking at me and next thing I know, one stepped forward and handed me a one euro coin. I just stared dumbfounded as they walked on...what a random exchange. Also, photographic proof I did not look homeless:

That's weird! Hope you bought something nice with the money though! ;)

The pictures are so beautiful and sun-drenched! It's such an lovely new facet to the blog, this greek adventure!

The last pic is so sweet.
i love the dress and pose in the last picture
Hilarious! Did they think you were a broke beggar?
You don't look like one. Adorable, as usual.
you know i've been looking at all the pics you took in greece, and you seem to fit so well there! everything looks so porcelain and pretty. it kinda gives off the same vibe as you do - vintage but timeless... ah i don't know how to put it!!
I love the picture of the dog drinking. That's really bizarre about the tourists--you look great!
What a weird incident!
Huh. How odd! You look much too nice to be a vagabond.
The 4th picture is so adorable.
You were just so aesthetically pleasing, they needed to pay you =]
Style prostitution one could call it haha
Omg, that looks absolutely breath taking!! :D

i think my best friend from home has your shoes .. except maybe not because hers are from goodwill. they look familiar to me in a very good way.
Great photos it looks like you are having the best time. That story is very funny.
wow, great pictures. the scenery is amazing. You look great too, so I don't get the strange euro giving thing that happened. I mean, you don't look homeless at all.
Oh yea, I love your blog...wanna trade links?
Haha! That is so awkward, perhaps it's a super secret custom for tourists. I really like the dress.
I hope you just laughed off that minor funny incident and went out to see Athens by night. I don't know yet which days will be the best for you to visit Fashion Week, but all the shows are held after 17:00, so maybe you'll be able to hang out after your classes. Even if that's impossible, try to make it to the opening ceremony, Tuesday at 21:30. I hear you don't need an invite to attend. And on Wednesday there's a greek alternative bands' concert, also with free entrance. Do come!
That view is amazing!
But where's Nasha?
You look great and I'm so jalous that you are in Athens! It's such a beautifull city, with such great history! Really I'm jalous!!
Love the pictures!
And I really don't understand that tourist thing that happend, weird!
Ha ha, maybe they tought you worked there. When I was in Rome my hole class went into a little church and this lad was standing in the door taking our money. For some resason we all tought it was collect for the church, but it wasent. We just made her day.
Your outfit was very cute :)
Amazing! Your photos really brings out the Classical Civilization nerd in me! and the one Euro episode is so random, maybe they just admire your outfit? ;)
that view looks amazing! and I like your plais dress. :)
how odd...you most definitely do not look homeless!
I loved that fourth picture from left to right, it's so wonderful!! Very creative and poetic in a way.
Yay free money? Seriously though, that's so bizarre.
I love the tint that your photos have. It makes the clouds look perpetually pink -- or does Greece really have pink skies?
That last photo is adorable!
I'm so incredibly jealous of you right now!

You were quite darling and appropriately and fashionably dressed for travel. I would never have assumed you were a homeless person. Perhaps the European wanted to treat you, because you were so charming?
As a fellow lover of travel, and a little person (not a dwarf, just petite), I would have been offended.
i am in serious need of your moccassin-like shoes
Today's are really beautiful pics :)
Strange people. And NO, you did not look homeless. One wonders how people's minds work. Strange are the ways of the world.
Sooo beautiful. I'm studying abroad in Cyprus next year and your pictures make me so excited for the Mediterranean. :)
These photos are so gorgeous! It makes me want to visit Greece even more.
