Hither and Thither

From day trips to Delphi to explore the ruins of Apollo's temple, walks through quaint villages, shopping in downtown Athens, and dancing until 5:00 am, to say I am keeping busy might be an understatement. Usually this sort of activity wears the introvert in me out, but lately I have been flinging myself at every opportunity and not regretting a single moment. After all, you can rest when you are dead...
I rather shocked the people in my group when I wore jeans for our day trip. After numerous people had asked me if I ever wear pants (to which I responded, "you've only seen me for less than a week") I decided it was time to bust the skinny jeans out.
Outfit details: pants- some shop in Japan, shirt- Forever 21 (customized by me), tank- American Eagle, bag- secondhand, jacket- Urban Outfitters, aviators- Stadium Swapmeet in Hawaii
Clearly, minimalist (sometimes I wonder if I can apply minimalist to laziness...) looks are appealing to me at the moment. The weather has been cool and rainy, but now it seems we are in for clear, warm days. I can't really be bothered with too much complication when we are walking so much.
Outfit details: dress- H&M, shoes- Urban Outfitters, bag- Ruche

and yeah, when you said you wore jeans, it actually shocked me as well...
sometimes i just hate jeans. why would anyone wear jeans when skirts and stockings are so available? i think i went almost three weeks without wearing jeans.. hahaha

Exactly - you'll probably only live in Athens once - you might as well make the most of every opportunity you get! ;)

Youlook good in jeans and I like the shade of that green top but I really love that dress!

funny how people just assume a lot of things after seeing you for a short time.. that happens a lot.

I knew this when I found out you were go to Greece.... I would like to go there one day. thinking of taking a huge European trip a few years later now I cannot wait!

Gosh I feel like I've only left a minute and there are some changes on every blog I used to frequent. Like the fact you're in Greece. I've looked back through your posts and you seem to be having an amazing time,I am thoroughly jealous (of this and all your previous traveling adventures).
PS. I definately think your clothes make you look more approachable!

Embarrassing fact here: I have lived in Greece for all my life (that's 25 years) and I have never visited Delphi. I think it's like New Yorkers that have never visited the Empire State Building or the Statue of Liberty. I read in a newspaper once that most Athenians have never visited the Acropolis. Weird, no?

Anyway, I just wanted to share with you the happy news: I got accepted in the Fashion Week Workshops. I will be there the whole week, so if you manage to stop by, I could show you around.

you're what i call 'quietly sexy'

It sounds like you're having a great time. And minimalism doesn't equal laziness--it just means there are great things awaiting you during the day and you want to spend the least possible time getting dressed so you can do them. :)

Wow it sounds like you're having an awesome time. I know the feeling of not wanting to sleep lest I miss out on something. Don't sleep! Do everything there while you can. Keep posting pictures!

Haha, I get those kind of questions all the time. "Do you ever dress casual", other times "do you even wear sweatpants at home" and finally "do you have a hobby besides dressing up". People are so clever, haha.

I envy you, I'd love to spend time in Greece!

Darling! All Darling.

I love the photos you take. They are so much more lovable on your site, in context than in Chictopia.

Your adventures are amazing.

Jeans look great on you, but I prefer skirts/dresses, simply because I'm a skirt/dress kind of girl myself!

I'm not sure if this is just an assumption on my part, but are you like me in the sense that you much prefer the word "pants" to the word "jeans"? Either way, I love your outfit!

So beautiful! I'm so so jealous. And it looks like you're doing a better job than me keeping up with blogging despite your travels. And I have found that the way I dress has both helped me meet people and made certain people find me _unapproachable_... but I do get a little weird with it sometimes. ^^

I happened to click on the 'travels' tag on your latest post found myself here gazing upon your photos from Delphi. Gosh, that was definitely one of my favorite stops in Greece. I can remember standing near Apollo's temple and seeing a black mountain goat off on the hillside. I'm positive that my appetite for travel will never be quelled and while there are still many places I long to visit, I know I will return to Greece one day :)
