Behold: The Mountain

I went up for another bit of hike on "the mountain" (Mt. Rainier) since my sister has come to visit us here for a little while. We had gloriously perfect weather and the sky was brilliant, so this time around we could see the peak while on our walks. I really enjoy the variety of scenery you can see: meadows filled with wildflowers, canyons, waterfalls, rocky peaks, etc.
I'm combining my outfit post with a few pics of Nasha as well and throwing in some pretty landscape pictures for good measure.
Outfit details: plaid dress (under)- Urban Outfitters, denim dress- secondhand, polka dot tights- Target, shoes- Urban Outfitters, bag- Ruche
*All pictures, except the one where I am glaring into the sun on the winding path are by me, as usual.

Mt. Ranier is so beautiful. I'll have to do that hike one day. I hear it's still an active volcano too.

You think of some amazing locations and settings to shoot in. These pictures are so pretty.

Pretty pictures. I would never think to wear something so nice for a hike. I love the plaid layered under the denim.

Short hiking trips are so soothing for the soul. It definitely helps when you're prettied-up and have a buddy (Nasha) on that hike.

Amazing, beautiful scenery!! Wish the dark grey clouds in the UK looked as appealing! Looks like you had a lot of fun

That's some really beautiful scenery. I love that denim dress - you remind me a bit of a modern day Heidi - of course that's probably more to do with the mountain - but somehow your outfit fits the landscape. How are contacts working out for you? You look good in them.

It looks so incredibly beautiful, it must be wonderful to go hiking there. Your photography is really getting so good!!!!

Mount (isn't it?)Rainer is amazingly beautiful! So wild! It's a bit scary to thing about the nature. It's so much older than us humans! We live for a second, or so, and the woods are like forever! It's fascinating to see the contrasts between you, in your vintage/classy/eclectic style and the forest, green as always and forever!

Breathtaking scenery.
I adore the color combination in your outfit. You definitely pulled off the black/brown thing that most people avoid.

Nasha's disappointment at the meadow being closed seems palpable from that photo.

Pacific NW is so beautiful. I can't wait to go to Mt. Rainier. In the meantime your awesome bangs are inspiring me to trim mine and seriously: that outfit is everything a girl can hope for. Plaid, light blue, great shoes...sigh

Lovely Blog - You live in the most beautiful natural scenery.
Love the 'Closed Meadow Repair' sign. Reminds me of the kooky kinda things one would find in Wonderland.

That denim dress is so cute!

I think I've been to Mt. Rainier before, although I was almost too young to remember anything.. These pictures (the first one especially) have such a vintage-y feel about them!

The view is spectacular, makes me miss the trips to the mountains I used to take years ago.

It's so weird seeing you without your glasses. I've been wearing contacts for two years now and I remember how awkward I felt the first couple of weeks!
