I have this irrational fear about falling down stairs (apparently a fell down I flight when I was younger, but was completely unharmed). However, it is not really as if I think I’m going to fall, it’s that I “over think” myself into almost falling. As I walk down stairs I try to consider what my legs are doing, what the process my body is going through to maneuver the steps—and I can’t figure it out. I mean, logically I know my legs are bending, but illogically I “forget” how to walk down them and often start to stumble…does anyone else do this?
Oh, and this is another lipstick shade that I picked up. This one is really dark in the tube but almost seems sheer on my lips.

I love the coke bottles designed by Roberto Cavalli. Very nice and I agree that SJP's coca cola design wasn't incredibly great. But it's cool that Coca Cola actually designs these special editions to make everyone excited.
Coca Cola are marketing geniuses. I can't help but feel a sense of loyalty to their brand. Eesh.
You're looking fantastic by the way. I feel the same fear regarding stairs when I'm wearing heels. I only just conquered walking on flat land in heels, so stairs are the next obstacle. Then running marathons, I suppose!

Those Coke bottles are so Cavalli and not me. I wouldn't want to drink out of something covered in animal print. Haha. And when I walk down stairs I get scared about falling and if I should fall how to fall "nicely" and get up "nicely" Haha.

I love the Coke bottles! As a marketing professor, I have noticed that drink marketers are increasingly using packaging as a way to differentiate themselves from the competition. I wonder if these are available in my area?

I went through a long phase of no soda/caffeine of any kind, but recently, I've become addicted to caffeine as a way to survive the three jobs that I work. I want to quit, but I can't! Love the poses today and that lip shade is fantastic.

I occasionally over think things, but not climbing down stairs. I do, however, always seem to slip down them - carpets + socks are slippery, it seems!

i fell down the full flight of stairs in our house when i was really little because i was being silly and put a big lampshade on my head when my mom took it off to change the bulb. she thought it was hilarious because i was so tiny & it was just this big lampshade with little feet sticking out... so she told me to go show my dad -who was downstairs- not realizing she needed to ALSO tell me to take the lampshade off my head to walk down there! i remember getting an orangecicle after the emergency room visit! oopse!

I'm scared of really steep stairs my grandparents used to have this steep and narrow stair well that was really scary. Mostly I was scared of my little 4'10 grandma falling.
If you get a chance to make it to seattle there are some great thrifting options! Including the amazing goodwill bins store that is by the pound (about 1.50 $ last time I was there) . Its a little daunting at first but I usually find some treasures or at least something to start with as in DIY. There is also the largest goodwill in the nation, it's pretty amazing.

I don't get too worried when I'm actually descending stairs, but just before, I often have visions of falling and hitting my teeth, of all things. A la SATC's Natasha, or William H. Macy in "Magnolia." Bizarre!

Agh- definitely know what you mean. Stairs are scary. I loathe them with my entire being. I trip going UP stairs, actually. I overstep and end up falling. It's all very graceful.

Ooh I want those Coke bottles! It's a shame they bottle Coke in plastic bottles where I live. The glass bottles are so much fun.
As for irrational fears, I can't say falling down stairs is one of them, but I have an irrational fear of accidentally grinding my teeth. After 2.5 years of braces I still have a slight overbite I'm always afraid of biting down the wrong way and having my top teeth grind against the edges of the bottom.

I quite like the coke bottles. I'm not a fan of Cavalli, but I do have a secret crush on animal prints - they remind me of 80s hair metal bands like Motley Crue and Poison.
And I'm totally with you on the stairs, every since I fell down a flight recently, my legs literally shake as I approach them. It's elevators and ramps for me from now on!

I'm sorry to hear about your fear of falling down the stairs. I'm loaded with irrational fears. For example, when I'm in a swimming pool I fear there are whales or sharks below me. Yes, in a safe, secure pool. It's crazy but I don't have control of my phobias. If it gets really bad I suggest seeing a psychologist.
I have to say I have the same strange body/mind detachment sometimes. If I think too hard, I can't figure out HOW my body is doing what it's doing. ..walking down stairs, walking in general...
I don't remember any of the SJP Pepsi ads.

I have to agree with your thrift store shoe statement.It was just such a seemingly perfect setup, they were the exact shoes I wanted ,black leather ankle boots.Now they are just sitting in my garage in a bag because after thinking I realized how gross and stupid they were to buy.

i never have that problem you do but i can see how that happens. it's weird how we develop these sort of irrational fears. i think mine would be open windows. when i go to bed and leaev my windows open because it's hot i start going over all kinds of images of people ripping my windows open and coming in while i'm sleeping and so i usually go to sleep deathly afraid. it's weird. i have no idea where this came from.
but thank you for telling me the name of your lipstick! i love clinique lipsticks! they're amazing. =) i have 2 testers from them. and 2 full sizes. you should try apple brandy ( i think that's the name) ... it's a sheer red. very nice!
I recently tripped and fell down the stairs (on my birthday, no less), hurt me enough such that I couldn't drive for a few days, and now I have a scar. It was a silly accident, but now I'm overly cautious whenever I have to take the stairs. Once something like that happens to you, it's hard to shake it. Probably just a self-preservation instict going into overdrive.
On another note, I have that very same skirt. It's always interesting to see how other people wear it. You look so elegantly chic!
