I looked quite different then...my hair was about eight inches longer than it is now and it was it's natural ashy brown color. In addition, I didn't have my glasses (don't you remember when I got them?), although my eyesight still wasn't perfect I just went without (now I'm so dependent). So while I still clearly recognize myself, sometimes new friends have a little trouble. So, can you spot the Clothes Horse? (P.S. These four pictures were taken by other people.)

As for today I was going for Rosie the Riveter with my scarf in my hair, but it ended up looking much more Alice in Wonderland...

Outfit details: shirt- Banana Republic Outlet, skirt- secondhand, belt- secondhand, shoes- some shop in Japan, scarf- secondhand

I am incredibly jealous (but so excited for you!) that you are getting to travel so much. That's one thing that I definitely wish I took opportunity of in high school and my early years in college. I'm thinking about doing one this summer, I want to go to Japan soooo bad.
I love the skirt and the colors you're wearing :D
It's my dream to travel the world.. I think if I ever went anywhere I'd constantly by stricken by "OMG I'm _____" moments.
Oh your pictures in Japan look like so much fun! You do look different, but I can still tell which one you are in the pictures! I miss Japan!
I wish that I'd went abroad for studies...Japan is like a dream to me, I really hope I can go there later.
I think you look great in your glasses, they suit you perfectly!
love your skirt, and the photographs are gorgeous!
Sorry about the spoilers, I should have put a warning up. I love your outfit. Great photos.
Belle
Japan sounds amazing! It's high on my list of places to see. This is one of my favorite outfits of your too. I love how it's a little alice and the rich colors
Fun pics! The outfit is lovely!
xx
Studying abroad, eh, so lucky! I think after this school year I want to try and go on a working holiday to Europe or something. But then again I really want to go back to Japan after my wicked trip with summer. As much as I love my city i do get restles...
And you're looking lovely as usual :)
hey sweetie.. thank you so much for your comment in my blog. I totally agree!
As I was just saying to AsianCajun girls...well yes leaving a comment that was.. I think these Designer Collection people won't be keen tho. Having the designer collection online will cause a bit of virtual blood spitting cat fight I think. :) What do you think?
oh one more thing.. good luck with your visa stuff. I know exactly what it's like. I've been through that many times.. just waiting around and jumping all the hoops. :)
Wow, your hair was so long then! I actually like it a lot better now when it's a bit shorter. :]
I love the skirt in your outfit. It's a brilliant shade of red. I love it. :]
that brown belt is the perfect complement for the deep red skirt.
Your outfits always have the best color combinations!
Wow Japan looks amazing. I have never been but it looks like a really interesting place.
Pretty pretty colours! I prefer your hair redder anyway - it suits you :) And I know what you mean about the glasses. I LIVE in my contact lenses! Thanks so much for the thoughtful comment. It was very sweet of you. Hope you're having a great day x
Your outfit is beautiful, sort of nautical.
I never knew you went to Japan!? Where was I haha? Looks fun, and you do look so different, but both your looks are amazing :) love the scarf in your hair today
Do tell us how the visa/travel issue goes. I'd be living vicariously through you if your visa is permitted (and here's keeping my fingers crossed that it does!) The blue and deep red colour combo looks fantastic.
Your look so different and much more like a teenager. But you here was beautiful - my natural hair color is a mess!
aww i'm so jealous. my parents are so overprotective to me, they dont allow me to even study in another town. gee.
yes, feel lucky! *mega jealous*
oh cute alice :)
Oooh, Japan! I would love to go there someday...
You look so different in your Japan pics! I really admire your sense of adventurousness.
You look very different back in Japan, but still cute naturally. Pretty photos again, are they still selftimer? You must have a stative?
You are so lucky to have been given that oppurtunity to go to japan. It aways looks and sounds like such a fanastic country. I have harboured a bit of a dream of going there too for some years now, hopefully someday.
Wow, you did look so different, your hair suits you both ways i think.
Love the bold primary colors, and the hide-and-seek in the forest vibe of your photos :)
xoxox,

What an amazing opportunity, I'm hoping I might be able to travel as part of my uni course also.
And the outfit looks great whatever you were channeling! Lovely colours
see i travel...just not that often. haha, must go to japan for weird prints that they ALWAYS seem to have. the skirt is really cute on u.
Look at you! So adorable and with that "teenage" vibe in your eyes.
I love looking at older photos of people, and noticing the slighter or bigger changes and transitions. You have matured in a very subtle and sophisticated way, and I am absolutely eager to find out what direction the new "abroad" will take you to. Good luck with everything, dearest!
Lovely pictures and I'm so in love with your red skirt in the last pictures!

oh wow! i'm so very jealous that you spent 6 months in japan. it's on my list of places to go one day. great photos!
I really really love today's pictures. They actually remind me more of little Red Riding Hood... even though you don't have a hood. That or the Railway Children.
I adore travelling, is the best you can do when you are young, so interesting, and open-minded.
God, I'm dying to go to Japan, it looks amazing. Love the outfit, and I agree with strikematch on the red riding hood thing!
I so want to go to Japan, you're so lucky to have spent a semester there!
Love your Rosie from Rivetar/Alice in Wonderland look! I think you look a lot like the Hollywood women from the 50s here..with the skirt and the matching lipstick. Lovely lovely!

i really love your alice in wonderland outfit! and i admire you so much for spending such a long time abroad! i definately want to do this while studying.
IT's a little bit like Snowhite meets ALice in Wonderland I think! Very pretty!
You were really cute in longer hair but I think I almost prefer the shorter you have now...
oh you definitely look like you loved it!! i spent close to 4 years in tokyo, and i can't get over it either! i'm gonna go back one day. YOU SHOULD TOO! hee hee!
I think you look more like Snow White here.
And I didn't recognize you from the Japan pics! Long hair looks great on you (as does short hair).
