I wore my converse for the plane flight. I'm not intentionally trying to channel the grunge era, but perhaps subconsciously it is affecting my style. The shoes are some of my old favorites that I don't wear nearly enough. And they are doodled on and beaten up as I believe converse sneakers should be. Honestly, I find rock posers in clean converse quite obnoxious--that is not how converse should look!

This is what I wore yesterday, you saw a couple peeks of it around the house, but here is the full outfit. It is my favorite vintage dress that I wear again and again. The cooler temperatures here take a little adjusting to, but I'm lazing around indoors for the most part at the moment.

Outfit details: plaid dress- Urban Outfitters, jacket- Urban Outfitters, hat- secondhand, backpack- some shop in Japan, shoes- Converse
Outfit 2 details: dress- vintage via eBay, belt- secondhand, jacket- Ralph Lauren via eBay, shoes- H&M, bag- secondhand

Love, love love, that dress! Now I'm off to vote for ya!
I wore converse on a plane flight today too... yours are fantastic!
I also adore your tattoos, when I first saw them I KNEW I wanted a tattoo. xx
Ive entered as well......
I love my Converse. I have doodles all over mine, too.
That red and white plaid dress is so pretty! That's definitely something I would wear. And I like your tattoo a lot, I've always thought about getting two doves tattoed on my shoulder blades, so it's really cool to see yours.
wow you really are quite grunge w/ the chucks and the plaid hehe ;) oh and i totally know what you mean about overly new converse, espeically when they're the classic black chucks like you have, it just looks wrong haha
i adore the argyle print dress
and your blog!
Wow congrads on the snapshot thing!! I love the dress on the right!!

You really look like a girl from another era, and I said that in all the glamorous sense of the word!
Cool converse. I find it kind of hard to walk the line between worn/beaten up and actually dirty.
I love both dresses, as well as how you've styled them with jackets and bags. I really need to start thinking of accessories as part of my outfits.
i couldn't agree more...though i can't pull off converse, it bugs me when i see girls running around in ones that look as though they've never been worn.
love the dress! plaid=RAD! o god some of the entries for that contest are scaring me. if u see my latest post, u can see one of them
Haha the black/white Converse low-tops are so ubiquitous now. It's kind of hard to fault someone for having overly new Converse kicks. I do love the doodles on yours though. :)
i believe converse should be beaten up and drawn on, and everything...i always feel really odd in a new clean pair.
sometimes you have to do the comfort thing. I wish I could wear high top converse but alas I have sherpa calves and they make legs look way too chunky. You look gorgeous though!
Great Dresses! Good luck!
Washington is so cozy a state. I go back in one week and I am excited to get cozy again.
Beautiful outfits! The grunge era really isn't my thing either, but I'm finding it does creep into a few of my outfits - especially when sneakers are involved!
The third you look like you're going to work and then the fifth you look like you're going out on the town.
Obviously, you are - as always - gorgeous. But what's really drawing my eye is that amazing door! (And you match?!)
that brown/creme vintage dress is amazing!! what seller did you get it from? (and like others already said, i love your tats also!)
i agree. converse should be beat up. that is teh way it it is supposed to be. i feel the same way about fans checkerboard slip-ons. my black and white checkerboards look like they've been to a ton of concerts (which they have), left out in the sun and rain, and then run over by a couple cars. and i love them for it! i'll never give them away. the only thing i'm sad about is my black beat up converses that i had from like my 10th grade year (that's like 4 years ago? how sad! haha) just up and disappeared one day. =/
You truly have the best collection of dresses to showcase your tattoos. I agree that I generally prefer the ratty converse look.
I really like that vintage dress- it looks great on you!
you look cute as always! i moved alot as a kid and i always thought it was fun being in a new house - enjoy!
Such great pictures! :)
I love how you've painted your shoes :).
The top outfit is very cute! Love the red beanie. And the house looks amazing, thanks for "the selby" peek - love that site.
Plaid dress is perfect! I bought very similiar in CUBUS yeserday:)
You look great in every outfit! :)
The second dress--I love
Your converse are so cool I love the patterns on them :)
I really like plaid at the moment, but I love the vintage dress - especially teamed with that blazer!
One of my pairs of Cons recently came off the base - the canvas was all worn through. I did gardening in them for three days before they were wearable in public.
You're breaking my heart with the diamond print too. I can't find any material anywhere! To etsy I say!
what a cute dress! and again i love your tattoos. Although the Michelle Jank ones are cool i like yours a lot i think hers would be a little to much off the catwalk (:
He he I know what you mean - my converse are B-A-T-T-E-R-E-D but I love them all the same. I like the backdrop to these photos. That huge door is great! :)
cool outfits, i hope you win!!
totally agree with the converse - mine have had to be stitched up so many times because i wear them to death and i hate the clean look of a new pair!!
Pretty, pretty tattoos!!!
Kiss
I've never been a Converse girl myself, but love yours!
I agree on the converse needing to look a little less pristine - yours are just right!
I also adore both dresses - great outfits!
Oh, the print on the dress!
I am still so in love with that argyle dress!
and the designs on your converse are beautiful. =]
haha my converse shoes are exactly the same! my friend and I have made such a mess out of ours..I've got loads of different song lyrics scribbled down on mine, while he's only got Pantera lyrics on his. Yours look cooler than ours though!

I've been wearing clean imitation Chucks - Oops! Didn't even realize I was commiting a fashion faux pas.
I love the brown and white diamond pattern dress. You are so luccky you can fit into those vintage style dresses.
Hope you have a good time visiting the parents, and keep us informed about the great styles in Washington.
Def how converse should look! Love it paired with the dress....and I don't think i've ever told you how much I love your tattoos? Anyways..its out there now..I DO! A LOT... =)
If you do end up giving in to temptation and buying makeup from urban decay, be sure to write a post about it! :)
Great outfits again, that red lipstick suits you well!
You're one of my favorite blogs at the moment. Would you mind to link me?

I looove your brown & white dress. I wish I could draw on my converses, but my mom would have a fit and wash them!
LOVE the dress! great colors and print
Love it love it! I love the both of the dresses you are wearing. I am all for converse all stars. I don't wear mine very often, but they are a must have !

Your converse are sufficiently beat up.
I love both dresses on you!
Oh, I do like my converses to be clean, like any other shoes I wear:-p
