I bought a lovely watch online through Urban Outfitters. Unfortunately, it arrived and apparently I have the wrist span of a child! I mean, I knew my wrists were small but this is just ridiculous. If I keep it I will have to remove five links. Or wear it as an anklet. I don't know, new trend?
that's a funky watch! i just live the color and say: keep it! maybe they sell it in the biggest size possible because it's way easier to remove links than to add some? still, i don't get it.
in this book called 'How I Paid For College,' by Marc Acito, the two main characters wear their watches on their ankles. One of them is Really fat though, so she must have had a massive watch. It's a real cute watch though. Looks good on the ankle.
I'm loving it on the ankle! My friend bought an UO watch - they definitely come up big because her wrists are particularly normal but it's a few links too big... not as much as yours thought.
haha thats hilarious it looks huge but the color is cool. i would say get some links removed. i've had links added to necklaces (i like them long) and it wasnt too expensive so I dont think it would be pricey to do the opposite.
I too have a tiny wrist which makes purchasing such items online a no no for me, but I love the watch. Depending on the cost to get the links removed (if it's too expensive it might not be worth it) I think you should do it.
I love the watch. My wrists are ridiculously tiny as well. I love the watch as anklet idea. There's a series in the UK called "Skins," and the character Cassie does exactly that. there's a clip of it here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=HI4jj-vPkuA
yeah most watches with links are pretty big, so that they can fit a variety of folks sort of one size fits all deal. i have a few and i always have to have the links taken out. any jeweler can fix that for you. easy peasy.
The watch is probably men's . I ordered a watch from the there wa on the woman's portion of their site and when it arrived it was clearly amen's watch which appears to be the case with yours also

Alice:)
My cousin gave me a lovely Swatch watch and it happened the same to me. I have to adjusted it, and I'll need to remove 4-5 links!
The color is too nice and vibrant to return! You must remove a few links and keep this beautiful piece! :-)

Gorgeous watch, love the colour. but yes the size is ridiculous!
I think you could start a trend wearing it on your ankle tho! Just a little awkward when you want to read the time! ;)
I love it! It's so huge and colorful, I kind of want to eat it with a milkshake!
I've been trying to decide if I wanted to post this week about watches or bubble gum :D This has helped :D

Not if you want to wear boots though...
I think one of the partygoers in "Breakfast at Tiffany's" wore a watch on her ankle...
I have this memory of Paul crawling through the crowd and checking the time.

Aw man! That watch is kick ass. Too bad it is MONSTROUS!
I say get some links removed. It's well worth it.

I always have this problem, I have to take watches to have links cut out.
It means I can never have a swatch
:(

It's great especially with the pink nails :D
Good grief! Well, any jeweler can easily fix that.
Pulling your ankle up would be an awesome way to check the time!
haha, I love this post.
i agree with everyone else's comments.
wear it on your ankle!
see how many people start wearing watches on their ankle the next day ;]
was it a men's watch? i have teeny tiny wrists too!!

that's a beautiful watch!! that looks hilarious though on your small wrists :|
hmm....i wouldn't advise the anklet thing...haha, unless that was sarcasm?

I have the same problem too, that's why I never wear wrist bands or bangles as they just go all over the place!
You DO have tiny wrists! :O
Cute watch though.. And I think it would be really funky to wear it as an anklet haha, I'm sure people would follow it.
haha, i mean it is not only a little too big! it seem like it is made for giants :-)
i have tiny girl wrists too so i feel your pain!
i say remove the links and wear it, it's an awesome watch ;-)
