I had an excuse to wear this pretty, vintage dress today. The sneakers were also very practical. Other ladies who dressed up had to deal with their stilettos sinking into the ground!

I was planning on buying a vintage dress on ebay... and instead I ended up bidding on a book. In my defense, it's an advanced copy so it's an extra-special book.

That is such a beautiful dress, and you look lovely in it. And I'm all for dresses and sneakers- they're my default look, and not only are they comfy, they're really good for de-sexifying something that would have felt a bit too much for wearing with heels (though I'm sure your dress would look gorgeous with heels, too).
