That's crackers!

I felt very prim and proper in my outfit today, mostly due to the crochet lace collar that came to me from my mother but was made by either my grandmother or great-grandmother (I should get my facts straight). However, I had to work this evening and it seemed very ironic/ridiculous to take my pictures around the campus convenience store.

Green dress- Forever 21, cream skirt (under)- some Japanese store, tights- bought at a supermarket, shoes- vintage (Fairey Godmother's), vintage feather fascinator- eBay, crochet collar- from my mother

Frst of all, I love this blog!
Second of all, I would love to find vintage family hand me downs, but no one in my family ever believed in saving anything cool. So Selfish.

Your cool tattoos definitely tone down the "prim and proper" in any outfit!

I wonder how you did take those pictures, they came out superbly cool! I really wish I was more daring to pose and take pictures outside of the apartment, as it would be so much more fun, but I always feel reticent about it. Has anyone taken them for you, or is it the ol' self timer?

I love your petite frame. You can carry off everything so well. And I mean EVERYTHING! Love that green dress, I really do. The collar reminds me of the beautiful stuff my grandmother left my mother. This awesome black and gold lace. Maybe I will get it from Mom and put up a picture of it on the net.

Just me or does the supermarket have a real 50s feel to it? Maybe it's your effect on your surroundings, either way, I like it.

I love your outfit! I'm totally envious of the collar too. Makes me want to dig around my basement for old things like this, if only we had any. heh.

I love the idea of layering dresses with skirts. The color of that dress is gorgeous on you. Thanks for posting where the items come from--even if it's stuff that I couldn't just go out and buy, it's kind of cool to know the story behind an outfit.
