I am drawn to the clean look and style that comes from a monochromatic outfit. And I have a favorite color (blue) which I could see myself wearing every day. Still, I don't think I have the courage of
these five people who have entirely monochromatic wardrobes. Part of me would
love this, but another part might feel limited. Still, the entire blue wardrobe is so alluring...

I like the blue waredrobe...she's got a few sliver accents thrown in there too. My fave color is also blue. But I tend to wear alot of brown! Don't know if I could ever have a monochromatic waredrobe, I like color.
omg that is so crazy! although the the person with the grey isnt so bad! i like her outfit! and i just read the new york article... that is so crazy the girl with the blue has such a valid reason for wearing that color.. very intestring!
I think it would be cool to havee a monochromatic wardrobe for like a week....then i would get bored....haha, this was very interesting though!
Wow, I would call that weird, but I had a similar blue wardrobe in 7th grade. My mother forcibly gave all my clothes away to make me buy other colors. I must say it's attracting me... :-)
I like the grey/silver one. I don't think I could stand to actually have a monochromatic wardrobe, but if I did it would be green.
one of my friends in high school only wore blue shirts and blue jeans .. but that lady does the monochromatic wardrobe quite beautifully.
So very strange! I like the grey one but can't believe that she ws turquoise for eight years then changed. Crazy!
I do have alot of grey and navy but seriously that is just too extreme. It's fine to find a colour that you love and that suits you and buy lots of it but having a wardrobe entirely of that colour just takes alot of the fun away from dressing.
I've seen these before and I love the idea! You're right about it taking courage to such a thing. If I had the gumption I'd dress entirely in red! Delicious!
oh nooooo! i could never live like that.. no no no. haha sorry but the very idea of it is repulsive.
wow. those people are awesome! link up?
wow...looks cool...although I don't think I could just love one color...an alternative is of course to get many different monochromatic wardrobes in different parts of the house...hahaha
I love it but I'm simultaneously intimidated by it. I don't know if I could lock myself into one color . . . forever.
Maybe try it for a week and see how it feels?
I feel the same way when I see wardrobes like these! I love the simplicity that wearing one color alone involves, but at the same time, I love so many colors-- how could I choose just one?
I still like neutrals and black but it's cool that you went for something different!
It's such a gorgeous concept but it would be so hard to actually do. I've always liked the idea of having a style 'trademark'.
Does that silver girl have silver underpants?
Kay, I just read the article. That silver girl sounds like she has mental problems.
I used to be like that with baby pink, granted it wasnt as bad as wearing it exclusively but i do remeber many occasions of head to toe baby pinkness, lets breath a sigh of relief that those day are over.
Ha! I actually read this article and still can't believe these people exist! I mean the discipline!
Oh my this is crazy
and all silver wardrobe????
I think this is a little over the top!
Thank you for posting it though!
I like organising my wardrobe by colour, it makes you try new things out rather than just going to your skirt section, and you realise what colour you have most of, for example I have a whole cubby for purple, green and blue, but red yellow and orange share the same one. I'm imagining having a whole wardrobe for each colour now though...
I would feel limited by wearing only one color.
I read that article awhile ago. The idea of a monochromatic wardrobe is terribly tempting (no matching to worry about, no wondering whether a color is unflattering, etc) but I think I would get awfully bored.
I appreciate the commitment level required to pull this off, but I couldn't do this in a zillion years (though there was that whole black period in first year university...) K
that´s wicked to see, but I would miss some variety.
I always wonders whether if I can pull off an entirely pink wardrobe..
Hey;) thanks for the comments~
Yeah initially i was suprised that it fitted almost perfectly. And i knew i had to get it.
Cya around;)
That actually really freaks me out! To each their own.
those pictures are tres cool! i love monochromatics!
I am a huge grey lover but I couldn't only wear it everyday! It's admirable, thought, that some people are able to pull it off and be happy with it.

That article was actually pretty interesting. But I could never do it, although it does look wonderful in pictures.
And for the blue girl, I could not imaging taking a sharpie marker to a pair of CL heels.
thatisinsane!
i loved this article. i actually saw a girl on the tube in head-to-toe baby pink - shoes, tights, cardigan, shirt, bag... even a ribbon around her neck.
i was desperate to get a photo and had planned to link it to this article. i'm still cursing the fact that my had camera broken a few days earlier.
i could NEVER go monochromatic. Its too boring!!
That's absolutely insane!
Love the blog, though.
Want to do a link exchange?
i use to work with the blue girl! everything she has is blue. the folders, the pens, the pencils, the...well, you get my point.
