A reader suggested awhile ago that I wear my dresses over jeans and although this goes against my dresses for dresses sake mantra, I decided to give it a whirl. Here are some of my takes on dresses over pants.
I really like the first outfit, it's fab. And the last one is nica and basic (basic in a good way) + it's very cute with the ribbon in your hair. I love your shoes in oufit no2!
Wow, thanks for trying the idea out. ANd I must say, I like the looks on you! You can pull anything off. I really like the first and the last ones, but all are super! The first is very spring wear due to colors, and the last (think the most fave pic) is more fall winter. But I love them!!!!
how balenciaga is the floral dress!? gosh that sounded like a such a pretentious statement, but it's so similar, amazing. i really like the purple jeans, the perfect shade.
i love the floral dress with the purple. i think coloured jeans - esp if the co-ordinate with the dress - work really well. mainly as there seems to be a point to wearing them, rather than it looking like you just slung on a dress over your basic denims.

I adore the second outfit...its perfectly put together. The purple belt with the jeans and the cute pumps tying back to the black dress.
I really like the length of the dress in the last one...and the scarf in your hair..and then the bright cardi really stands out...its a great outfit too.
You should definately do the dress over jeans more often it suits you...and its great for when its cold!
I think it looks really great. My favourite outfit is the one with the blue & green floral print dress and the purple pants. The purple pants are killer.
I like the look in the last picture, because of the shortness of the dress. In general though my feelings on dresses over jeans, or pants, is, um, "don't". Mainly because it reminds me of 1997 when everyone wore those horrid jazz pants with skirts stitched onto them.
I discovered your blog last night and proceeded to read every single post. I read a lot of blogs, but this is definitely my favourite one. I love your blog because it has so much character. I especially love your posts on different artists. This blog is just extraordinary!

The last one works best. I always think you should only wear jeans under dresses which are nearly too short to be dresses!

i like it - especially since the jeans are all skinny fit, so it's almost the same as wearing them over leggins.
