Sight-seeing

Apparently I have been slowly going blind. Perhaps, I am being dramatic. However, I just failed a recent eye exam and the doctor gave me a prescription, so enter new glasses. I will be wearing them fairly regularly (and yes that is a specific designation), but I can't really get used to seeing myself in glasses in the mirror--let alone in pictures, so don't get too used to seeing them on me.glasses, fashion, theclotheshorsefashion, glasses, theclotheshorsefashion, glasses, the clotheshorsefashion, glasses, theclotheshorse

The glasses came just in time because I went on a day trip to D.C. yesterday. Took so many pictures (as always), here are a few of my favorites. I had a bit too much fun with the wide-screen function.

I must admit, the glasses do suit you and they make you look older. and a bit like an art toff, but that's a good thing.

Lovely glasses. I'm a recent glasses wearer as well and also cannot get used to it, thus I often "forget" the, at home. Which means one of my friends has taken to wearing hot pink gloves when we are getting together so I can see her.

Oh no! I am getting to the point where I am going to need glasses, but I don't want to do it! I think they will clash with my boob bows!

Glasses are awesome! :] & yay for DC!

yes I agree with everyone, you make glasses look marvelous...

I sometimes wish I had imperfect vision just to try them on, there are SO many varieties... not to mention the DESIGNERS that are involved.

Looks good! The color of your tights look cool too!

Youre classes rock. They look really good on you.
I have not seen that movie with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan yet.

I went bang at age 5 and never looked back. They are the greatest, because many people are open foreheaded so it makes you unique in a way.

Your glasses are HOT.

The tone of your tights is so pretty! I really want purplish red tights like those. And your glasses are really cool, unlike mine which I'm embarrassed to wear.

Aww i felt the same way when I was told I had to wear glasses in junior high school. I like yours though, especially because they have a little curvature at the ends, kind of like cat eye glasses but not quite. Contacts are always an option if you dont like them though. I admit they're a bit of a hassle but at least you'll have the option of wearing your glasses or not.

The glasses look great on you! My eyesight is horrible too, but I've been using contacts. But seeing so many people with great frames recently makes me kinda want to get glasses again!

Great pictures!
And the glasses are lovely! I have been thinking about getting just nonperscription glasses, so i can wear them even with my good eye sight, but i have yet to take the plunge. Now a days glasses have so many interesting colours and styles. Why should I wait until my eyesight starts to dwindle?

those are really quirky ones! i have a cat eye variety of reading glasses but i just look like a...secetary

watch out though, i think all this blog reading is making us all see stars (eek)!

So glad I'm not the only one going blind. I think it's ok if you are either far-sighted or near-sighted but if you are both (like me), glasses are inevitable. At least you look cute in them...

I like your glasses, they look cute. Or maybe that's just me being biased from years of spectacle-wearing...
