Lazy, Hazy, Crazy Dayz of Winter

I'm afraid I have been the ultimate in laziness lately. Since I haven't been going out much my clothes are a bit of a mish-mash of randomness and I haven't taken the time to take worthwhile pictures. I have been hemming skirts (no more frayed ends for me) and plotting my DIYs (I haven't converted any stockings yet, I'm too attached to the ones I have at the moment to risk them). So, in the spirit of laziness I thought the ultimate style to express this would be slip dresses and night-gowns as outfits. Runway inspiration is drawn from Christian Dior Spring 2006:

that second dress is perfect. i love the detail its so delicate- i hate when desiners feel the need to contrast delicate pieces with like, studded shoes. it could be nice but why not just wear nice mary janes? or flats? its perfectly nice and simple on its own

happy 08 =]

I love slip dresses, they're so feminine and they are really easy to slip on. (Pardon the pun) I like the second Dior dress and I like both dresses from Liebemarlene and Gabba_A.

I love the light dresses, and especially the third outfit. The short jacket goes well to the dress! It looks like a vintage night dress. So fine! :)

Wearing nightwear/lingerie as outerwear is one of my cheapie ways of acquiring a new outfit... vintage slips cost so little...

When that CD collection came out, I had an idea of using fabric transfer to print a lace print on chiffon... never happened...may resurrect that...

I am by no means tiny enough to pull off this look, though I love it anyhow. It's so delicate! That last look is especially pretty.

^Schminnie, it's all the same person. Liebemarlene runs the ebay shop, has her own blog and posts to Wardrobe_Remix on Flickr.

thanks for putting up the link to gabba_a...all her outfits are awesome, and shows that you don't have to have a huge wardrobe to look great everyday.

Yes, I know.

Wow, thanks for putting me up!

And exactly what Susie Bubble said . . . even in Goodwills little vintage '60s nightgowns are a lot cheaper than their actual dresses are. I think that white one was a dollar.
