Cheap Thrills

I do adore thrifting. For example, these grey, slouchy boots (with the smallest heel even I can handle) combined with a skirt only cost me $3. The gold bird-cage item was an impulse purchase since I have no idea what to do with it. And then we have the men's brown fedora and a lady's grey hat.

Those boots are fantastic! Whenever I go into thrift stores I always hope on finding boots similar to those, or maybe even a Frye. Ive never been successful in the shoe department though. I love the bird cage too. I can't wait until I can get my own place to fill it with eclectic thrift store treasures.

I never find good boots thrifting! And a birdcage, who needs a use for a birdcage?!? They're awesome for anything... you could keep bills in it and it would still be chic and unique.

those boots are the best.
Thrifting definetley has its ups and downs. I find good things once in a while. Like my cape, although that wasnt thrifting it was pure expensive vintage.

But here and there I find things, like sweaters and stuff.

The shoes are nice, and the hats are great. I never could pull off hats like those. I'm still envious of you lucky ones who can. Nice buys, even the impulse birdcage. It's nice to look at, if nothing else.

i just lost out on an antique birdcage!! you might sense a trend here haha.

the box behind the boots caught my eye the most though. I've been looking for a vintage trunk, or a set for my travels. I confess, too many old movies lately...

A belated Happy New Year! Ok, I must really be out of it/lame since you are only the 2nd person I've heard use 'thrifting' as a verb...

I love thrifting, too but unfortunately we don't have so much good thrift stores here in Germany :(.

The boots are great, so is the birdcage!

The boots are fantastic (and I love the little heel on them), and the birdcage is a truly lovely find, for some reason it's reminding me of children's books. Maybe you could use it to keep small, delicate things in (presuming that you don't want a pet bird)?

The ladies hat is just gorgeous; I want it!

And I adore the little gold birdcage; who needs a purpose when something is that adorable?!

Shoes + Hat you're after my heart with this topic.

Lovely all of it.

The birdcage reminds me of "Purple Bottle" by Animal Collective.

A trapeze is a bird cage
even if its empty
it defintintely fits the room
And we would, too

Those may not be exact, of course
