Thrifting and a Question

I went thrifting the other day--with my father, mother, and aunt (I think we have some converts) and bought many items, including this new bag which looks deceptively similar to my old favorite bag (also thrifted). My old bag on the left, new bag on the right.
How do you all feel about bringing your lace-up summer shoes into winter with tights? I liked the color combinations possible, but I'm afraid it might look a little crazy. What do you all think? Has anyone else tried this look?tights, lace-ups, style fashionheels, stockings, fashion

i neer though of pairing laceups with tights. but i really like the look of them. if you ask me, go for it, just of course look out for ice because your shoes look like they have no grip!

I think the second pair of shoes look more winter-y, but not so much the first ones. :)

definitely not crazy, just kooky in a very very cool way! Between this post and your random shoes post last month, i am sold on plum-coloured tights. I wish the shops were still open right now!

bags are great, nothing better than soft used leather. If it looks wintery and it's winter.. by all means... digging the navy a lot!

Those gold tights are amazing! The shoes+tights look like a magazine invention that only the hip girls can pull of (ie you!)...it's beautiful nonetheless.

I never would have thought of them that way - but you make them look really good!

I would never think to do this but I love how it looks and will definitely be copying you--perhaps with brown tights? (my sheos are green and blue).

Also, I love your interpretation of brocade. It looks just lovely, as are all of your photos. Super inspirational.

And I love that you lived in Puyallup at one point! I've only ever been for the fair.

looks fab! do the laces stay up?? i'd be afraid that slip right down to my ankles with the slippy tights underneath!

I think the laceups look cute - except that I'm still of the "no tights and open-toed-shoes" mindset.
